RENTAL POLICIES
Below you will find our most commonly asked questions about the
reservation process. Please refer to your reservation confirmation for more
detailed information regarding our rental policies and procedures.
CHECK-IN: 3pm
CHECK-OUT: 10am
Late check-outs must be approved in advance by Cottages to Castles. An
additional "late check-out fee" will be assessed. Late check-out is based on
availability.
CONDO DEPOSIT POLICIES:
- $200 or 10% of the rental amount is due within 7 days of booking.
- Balance of total rental cost is due 28 days prior to arrival*
- If your reservation is 2 weeks or longer, balance of total rental is due 60
days prior to arrival.
- Your deposit will be refunded no longer than 6 weeks after your departure
date, less incidental charges (long distance telephone calls, crib rental,
excess cleaning).
- Cancellation: Total rental amount, less a $35 cancellation fee and $55.50
reservation fee will be refunded if you cancel 28 days prior to your arrival
date. Reservations 2 weeks or longer require a 60 day cancellation notice.
SANIBEL HOME DEPOSIT POLICIES
- $500 or 10% of the rental amount is due within 7 days of booking.
- Balance of total rental cost is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- Cancellation: All pre-paid monies will be forfeited unless the entire term and
rate of your reservation is re-booked.
- Your deposit will be refunded no longer than 6 weeks after your departure
date, less incidental charges (long distance telephone calls, crib rental,
excess cleaning).
CAPTIVA HOME DEPOSIT POLICIES
- A minimum $2,000 deposit is required at time of booking.
- 50% of the total rental cost is due within 7 days of booking by personal
check, certified funds, or wire transfer only.
- Balance of total rental cost is due 60 days prior to arrival, by personal
check, certified funds, or wire transfer only.
- Cancellation: All pre-paid monies will be forfeited unless the entire term and
rate of your reservation is re-booked.
- Special Events: A minimum $2500 Special Event Fee is applicable for any uses
other than vacation rental purposes; and, for any number of persons on or
visiting the property over and above the contracted-for occupancy during normal
vacation rental use.
- Your deposit will be refunded no longer than 6 weeks after your departure
date, less incidental charges (long distance telephone calls, personal
chef/maid/nanny/spa services, excess cleaning).
SPECIAL POLICIES
- Each property has an occupancy level based on actual bedding. Under-reported
occupancy may result in the removal of all occupants from the property and
forfeiture of all monies whether earned or unearned.
-Smoking is not permitted in any property. If smoking in the unit is detected,
your security deposit will be forfeited.
Pets are not permitted in any condominium or
Captiva home.
Pets are permitted in certain Sanibel homes. Please inquire
as to whether your confirmed property permits pets.
If you are traveling between June and November, please be
aware that this is our Hurricane Season. Please evaluate your dates and
insurance requirements. We encourage you to purchase Trip Cancellation &
Interruption Insurance to protect your investment! Owners are not required to
rebate rent in the event of a voluntary or mandatory evacuation.
A $55.50 non-refundable Reservation Fee is charged on all
bookings.
